Reality in Scale Diorama Studio has recently released a new product for those figure diorama painters that will really add realism to any scene. 6 scale tablecloths made from real cotton.

Here are some of the tablecloth designs:

The below sample is for a Deacon's style table.

Conclusion:
These table cloths are ideal for adding realism to any scene and can be cut from the sheet, peel off the backing and apply it over a painted table. Highly recommended.

I know that many won't agree with me on this, but, if there is an art to what we do it's in the painting.
It's about using paint to create a lifelike and realistic interpretation of the sculptors work.
This I feel should carry through to the peripheral elements, I cant think of anyone I know who doesn't for instance, paint and/or stain static grass or polished white metal.
I'm all for using wood, bits of dolls house equipment, and just about anything else to create a scene but I firmly believe it's the change process that painting everything in the scene gives, that results in a cohesive end product.
Thereby ends my Friday night rant.

Derek
