Hello, everyone.:)
I have begun to paint a new figure.

This is a figure of TAMIYA.
I can't call this a wonderful figure.

The assembly was also quite difficult.:(

It'll be painted from tomorrow for now.:)

I think a figure of previous TMAMIYA had higher quality.

I think the current state of the Japanese historical figure is delayed.

Mitsutaka:)

It doesn't look too bad in the pictures Mitsutaka - perhaps the stance is a little wooden - what did you not like about it?

Colin

Before I really went into figure painting, the Tamiya 1/16 series was as good as they got to me... Looking back, I guess there still are a few from their range that is justifiably popular, such as that German machine gunner in great coat. And that marching infantry. But yeah I would side with you on this one.

I however think the Japanese artists still got it. It is no longer clear who is the best and I am just glad to see good products churning out from various countries and indeed various continents. But some of the most impressive sculpts and paint jobs (to me) continue to come from Japan, especially in the girl kit niche.

Hi! Mark.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
I'd like to paint in order to answer your expectation.;)

Hi! Colin.:)
Thank you very much for your valuable opinion.
It's dissatisfied with me in particular that there are little wrinkles of clothes of this figure extremely.
There isn't a mold of wrinkles around the chest in particular.
I don't feel discontentedly about a face.:)
The slide mark is useful for me.
Anyway it's regrettable for me that there aren't much wrinkles of clothes at all.;)

Hi! Pedro.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
The injection kit is after a long time for me.
I don't know whether it can be painted well.
However I'd like to make an effort.;)

Hi! Ngai.:)
Thank you very much for your valuable comment.
I'm loving the two figures very much, too.:)
I think the figure which is being almost compared in those has low quality.
A Japanese figure manufacturer is dependent on a cartoon film figure.
I think a foreigner doesn't accept these figures easily.
I think the Galapagos Islands phenomenon is occurring.;)

I have brought a black undercoat to an end.
I used an acrylic gouache.
This was thinned with an acrylic paint thinner of TAMIYA and it was blown by a hand piece.
When it was slow to dry, a hair dryer was used.

I paint a basis by a hand piece.:)

Mitsutaka can you help me out here?

I've always been a big fan of 'box-art', from the glory days of Roy Cross's 'Airfix' aircraft to Ron Volsted's figure stuff for 'Dragon'.

But I still think some of the greatest boxtop artwork ever produced (which still inspires me to this day) was painted for Tamiya.

Apparently a book was produced...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Military-Il...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281825372&sr=8-1

but I've never seen a copy.

I'd love to get hold of this book, has it actually been produced? Is it avaliable in Japan?

Cheers,
Jon.

Hi! Ken.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
I'm painting at present.
This figure is impressed by a little troublesome figure.;)

Hi! Les.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
I'd like to tell a staff of TAMIYA.:)
I think the injection figure is difficult.

Hi! Jon.:)
Thank you very much for your question.
I'm not interested in box art so much, TAMIYA published the work collection of the tank's box art before.
I think unfortunately these aren't sold now.
People who possess this think it's little.
I think it was Mr.大西(Mr.OONISHI) to take charge of box art of a figure of TAMIYA.
I think the work collection of the box art only of a figure of TAMIYA isn't issued.
If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.;)

I brought basic painting to an end yesterday.

First the color was compounded by an acrylic gouache.

I thinned those with an acrylic paint thinner of TAMIYA and blew by a hand piece.

I painted by flat black of enamel of TAMIYA about the part where I stuck up.

There are little wrinkles, so this figure seems to be the monotonous finish.

  Mitsutaka:)

Basic painting finished.

If basic painting ended, I blew flat clear of KUREOS.
I'm thinking painting of completion becomes easy to do with this.

Hello Mitsutaka,
You're right, it's really very good piece.
And your painting shows the beauty, then wait to finish.

Alexandros

Thank you very much, Tony, Alexandros.

Hi! Tony.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
Painting of completion is difficult, but I'll challenge.
When you like it, I'm happy.;)

Hi! Alexandros.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
Completion of a uniform was painted today.
The rests are a facial coat and a coat in a detail.;)

I have finished painting of a uniform today.
A palette has oil paints.

First I made light dark green and did a dry brush overall.

I drew a shade after that, and it was crowded.

If those ended, I blended by a big flat brush.

I also painted equally about a part of pants.

Next I blew flat clear of acrylic.

More highlights and shading were written in after I made them fix oil paints once.

And I also blended about those.

Mitsutaka

Hello Mitsutaka !

So far, looks very good. (y)
Already I look forward to the final result.
I see a new masterpieces will be born.

Cheers.

László.

Thank you very much, gylasi.

Hello! gylaci.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
I'm painting completion at present.
I think I can contribute a completed work while being close.
I'm also looking forward to your work very much.:)
Thank you for liking it.;)

I painted facial completion.
I drew an eye first.
A face is always completed by oil paints, but I have completed me by an acrylic gouache this time.
A contrast became strong, but I think I failed in blending.
I'll correct the mistakes about this part.:)

Remaining work was correction of a figure and painting of a ground work.

Mitsutaka:)

Hi Mitsutaka,

I like the eyes and the face very much, but the light green colour used to highlight the jacket is too light and is not accurate. I suggest you change the colour before you do any more painting. The green colour needs to be much darker.

Thank you very much, Tony ,John.

Hi! Tony.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment and advice.
You're right.;)
I'm thinking the color of the uniform is too flashy.
The picture from which the chroma has been removed was contributed, so when you like that, I'm happy.:)

Hi! John.:)
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
Painting of completion of a figure has been finished today.;)
I'd like also to contribute later to SBS of painting of a ground work.
Thank you for liking it.:)

I have finished painting of completion of a figure.
I established the chroma of the uniform low and made them emphasize a contrast a little more overall.
I blew flat clear after a marking was performed.

  Mitsutaka:)
