Stunning painting moves, Robert, blacks, wood grain, leather, skin tones, it's all great! Did you use oils or acrylics?

Best regards,

Nemanja

P.S. It's Hospitaller not Templar:)

Thanks, I am happy you like it, I use oils only, on the syntetic (Revell/Humbrol) basecoat.
hospitaller? uups;)well I used the original nameplate from the box, and didn´t think about it:eek:

Hi Robert,

Your painting has improved in leaps and bounds in the last year and this is easily the best work I've seen from you. Fantastic shading on the blacks. Well done.

Cheers

Thank you guys very much, it is always great to hear nice words that cheers me a lot.
Tony Dawe: yes Tony it is probably my very best figure so far, but I have still a lot of energy to paint and I really enjoy it.

My receipt for the black colour in oils:
This part a consulted a litle bit with maestro itself Ernesto Reyes and he suggested me to prepare a mix of medium red, indigo, burnt umber and black a highlight it with the colour of the flesh. It really worked well, but then I found my own way, that was a little byt easier. I did a mix of Van Dycke brown with black and highlighted it with Naples Yellow some corrections with pure van dycke´s brown and pure highlights with naples yellow and it also worked well.

hope I gave you some good tips about this problematic colour.

best regards to all,

Robert

Robert, what a great job you have made of this fine figure, you paintwork is fantastic as is the base work, thanks for sharing.

Cheers
Tommi

Your work is great!
The feel of a material of the black clothes is beautiful and wonderful.
The flesh-colored tone is also very good.
The completion of a shield is also perfect.
The ground work is also natural and beautiful.
