Completed Templar Knight (Deus Vult bust from El Greco Miniatures)

Hi PF friends,

This is another bust I finished painting recently. It is a 1:12 bust from El Greco Miniatures - "Deus Vult (God Wills It)" A great open box review of this bust can be found in a previous thread Nap posted at http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/deus-vult-bust-from-el-greco-miniatures.59829/

I paint this bust as a Templar Knight who wears a white surcoat with a red cross and also a white mantle with a red cross. In order to prevent the two white parts from resembling each other too much, I painted them using different color tones for white and as materials having different texture (linen vs coarse woollen) to bring some artistic difference.

I like this a lot ...love the whites , very difficult to achieve the variations ..you have IMO done it very well .

Like the fleshtones as well .

This is a real nice bust ...I have mine primed in black!!!!(along with far too many others) .

Very nice work, the tonal differences in the white are very subtle- bet definitely there.

Hi mate cracking paint job love the variations and at last someone understanding the variations of cloth of that period , white was never the same colour twice wonderful art work .
