I'll be carrying my country's flag for the second year running. Looking forward to meet all the friends I made last year.

I'll be there! Hope to meet many of you across the pond, and discovering the American modelling scene for the first time!

My ticket is booked, and I'm looking forward to it a lot!

How can I get a vendor table? I emailed but no reply yet...:(

It's getting closer, so time to get planning. A couple questions:

Might anyone know if any area hotels have a special rate for the show? Especially the close ones...

How late on Saturday does the awards and stuff go?

Wendy:

The Radisson and the Scanticon are both part of the convention area. I also believe there is a MFCA show rate. The awards themselves begin immediately at the end of the show on Saturday usually around 5pm.

What's the difference between the Radisson and the Scanticon? Does it matter which one? (There isn't extra charge for parking is there?)

Since we'll be driving there, any suggestions of neat stuff in between Michigan and Valley Forge to stop and see?

Cheers,
Wendy

Parking is at the hotels' outdoor parking lot at no charge. Valley Forge is almost literally across the street from the site. I think I still have the driving tour cd if you'd like to borrow it and save $15.

I second Al's advice. Regardless of its historical importance, it is in itself a beautiful National park and well worth a couple of hours of your time, especially along the riverside, Washington's HQ and the abandoned railway station.
And at the sake of stating the obvious a visit to Gettysburg is a must. My favourite area is Devil's Den and Little Round Top.

The Radisson and Scanticon are about the same, in my opinion. Scanticon is closer - being directly upstairs from the exhibit hall, while the Radisson is a 2 minute walk (inside). Scanticon also has refigerators in the rooms, if you plan to bring food, drink, etc. We stayed at the Radisson for years, and other than the occasional lost reservation, we were just fine. Last few years we have been at the Scanticon - I guess getting lazier! All parking is free on the premises. DO go to Valley Forge. As far as other attractions, its a matter of your interest and available time. I'd do a little research in advance and plan your trip with the sites in mind.
