What a great looking little scene. Nicely atmospheric with subdued lighting and just the right sense of movement and action to make it look exciting
 
I love the way this one came out, very impressive composition and execution. If I remember Shep Paine saying special attention had to be paid to the figures and how they would appear in the dim lighting. Did you have to adjust your color scheme John or account for the lighting in any way? If so, that's a heck of a lot of preplanning and it sure paid off. Awesome work buddy!

Shep Paine has always been a major inspiration for me and it was his work that prompted me to start on box dioramas.

You are correct I did adjust the painting of the figures and the scenery to blend in with the lighting. I painted the shadows on the scenery to ensure I had deep shadows in the ares where the light would cast them. This meant extreme lights as well as shadows.
