I got this figure 3 weeks ago, and it was so beautifull that I finished him this evening. I call him Michiel de Ruyter because of his likeness (see my avatar). Michiel was the dutch commander who sailed to Chatham and brought the English fleet a terrible disaster.
As always painted with oils.
Any comment good or bad is welcome because I'm still in the learning curve.

Well done on this figure. Having seen the film (have it on DVD, so I can watch whenever I want) There is a great resemblance indeed.
Might give this one a go myself, one day.... What scale is he - can help me if I want to build a slice of one of the vessels he commanded (other hobby, wooden model ship - scratch build).

That would be a heavy one, and a great one.

Super job Marc. Are the barrels part of the kit or something you’ve done yourself? Either way, they set the figure off very nicely.
