Must have prolongued the war by at least 2 months - ouch!

Colin

I wonder what Health and safety would of made of the Western Front. I reckon they might have closed it down, bring a premature end to all. Thus resulting in NO WWII. How the world have been different!

Hello Carl, Another great one. The face is excellent, with alot of character. Like the rifle, and the grenades are very interesting. You sure have been a busy man. Congrats on this one. Regards, SG(y)(y)

I've never seen a photo of the 8 pouch grenade vest either. I do have some additional photos of reproduction grenades of the type depicted.

As always, beautiful sculpting!

All the best,
Dan

...But....before i have to ask to my wife .....and my bank manager !!!!!!:bored::censored:
More seriously, to have an idea of what was WWI in the western front, just come in France and visit Vimy Monument.
My Gran father was soldier from 1914 to 1919 (he made Verdun), and after was with the CEF, as Sergeant, conductor of a French Officer in the CEF HQ.
He prefered to never told us what was its war, except to tell us "I done it, that's all".
A large part of my Familly Uncles & others made it, and always the same thing "We done it".
Strangely, my father was in the colnial troops in the Algerian war, was with British in Suez.
He had the same words.

Absolutely lovely, great work Carl from a big admirer. It would be interesting to know if anyone has collected all your works, meaning busts, that would be one hell of a quality display even in their raw resin and just assembled. I would not dare to estimate how many though, thanks for showing as always :)
Very best wishes

Carl,
Great composition with this piece. Getting the balance right with the bombs coming so low is difficult and you have pulled it off perfectly.

Cheers Rob!

It was one of those pieces that just fell into place, I thought it just needed to be as compact as possible. It seemed to work out ok! :)
It don't always though mate!

I don't know if anyone is deranged enough to collect everything I've done buddy. Maybe a Broadmore inmate... If they are not a Broadmore inmate they should be...
Thanks again mate!
