Hi folks!

My first figure of 2016. Conversion of 54mm Romeo Models. All done in acrylics.
I need to fix one thing related with the NCO insignia, the edges are in red...
It will be great to hear your feedback.

Cheers,
Pedro.

Pedro, its looking lovely. Mustache is touch to heavy, it elongates the jaw rather than creating a bushy veteran's tache impression. Just something to take into account in future conversions.

Nice whites and dirt on the knees adds a good touch.

Good day!

Gaudin, Adrian, Martin, Paul (peedee), Kevin (Nap), Paul (DaddyO) and Chris, thank you all for taking time commenting my work much appreciated.

Regarding the moustache the lack of experience led me to carve a bigger mustache to adapt the head to the intended purpose but I did this effect on purpose to cover the open mouth of the figure. This head have the low jaw very pronounced as you see in the attached photo.

Thank you!
Cheers,
Pedro.

Pedro, what was the original figure, it looks to be metal models but converted. Never mind
Stupid me did not read the intro fully

Excellent choice of subject and rendering.I love the fact that you have researched your subject thoroughly,it's one of the aspects that make this hobby so creative.

Oda.

I agree about the mustache, but otherwise a excellent rendering of a neglected army.

Cheers Bob!(y)

Oda, thanks! In fact, the research was intense and this conversion gave me a lot of work but this is what I like in this hobby. :)

Michael, thanks for your input.

Cheers,
Pedro.

Exactly Pedro.I was making the same point in a previous thread.Research is one of the most satisfying parts of this hobby. It is miniature military modelling not just painting. We research history in order to produce accurate depictions of military subjects. And I love doing it just as much as I love painting or sculpting those subjects. In your case, research has produced a very rare subject, your painting has made it aesthetically pleasing.Gongrats for both.

Oda.

Oda, thanks again.
Max, muito obrigado amigo.
Cheers Mike, thanks!

Cheers,
Pedro.

Great work which I like it a lot. I'm glad you like to research things fully first. That's my take on things.

Cheers
