have you looked at the range of Verlinden buildings/ruined houses etc. ? Some of that stuff would look good as 19th century French buildings.

Thanks Johan!

Yes, I have checked out some of their buildings but just can't decide. It will take some careful thought and planning if I'm going to tackle a large project again.

Space is another factor, our curio is full to almost overflowing, with my crap and the wife's Boyd's Bear collection

I'll post some ideas for future vignettes soon...yes...more F&P stuff

Hi Jason

Don't visit this place for a day and a half, and find myself with 180 posts to catch up with!

Wonderful vingette! Good composition, animation etc, coupled with the fact its sculpted and painted by yourself (and in 5 weeks!). Be proud!!

Jason,

Fantastic work. You sculptors constantly amaze me with the freedom you have to build your own soldiers that are scarce or nonexistant in kit form. Look forward to seeing your next project.

Jason,
Are you going to Atlanta?
Joe,

No, I can't swing it. And I'm on vacation this week

But, I do hope to see you and your work at Valley Forge

Hi Mike! This is ONE of the reasons I started to build my own. Aside from the Post Militaire stuff (back then I could not find or afford those anyway) there was basically nothing on this conflict, so I broke out the putty and dove in.

Are you going to Valley Forge this spring?

... well, I hope there will be some cavalry among them

my apologies for being a "cavalry nut"
How about this one?

Notice I kept your, now becoming, signature icon?

Hey to Jason,

Man, I wish I could go to Valley Forge. Oddly enough, we were at Valley Forge for something unrelated to miniatures last Memorial Day weekend which means that I missed the show by not a whole lot. Just my luck! Maybe one of these years, like I mentioned in another thread...'as soon as I hit the lottery...buy a big house...etc etc'. (y) I enjoy seeing your creations. Maybe I'll try my hand one day but I think Gumby's been done already.

Mike

Thanks Anders, I appreciate the kind words my friend.

It's good to see you on the planet Vince. I really admire your work. Please share more of your work here.

Mike, it's too bad you can't make to Valley Forge. Hey, Michigan Toy Soldier is planning a July figure show to coincide w/ the 'toy' soldier show. It would be great to see you and your work there.

Jason,

Detroit?? July?? That's a strong possibility. I have no vacation time in July but vacation days are another possibility. What's the exact date?

Mike

I checked out MTS's website after posting the date question & they list the date as Sunday, July 17 which is a calendarial impossibility this year.
