"The Masai Pride" - The Trophy - 54mm scratch vigniete

Hi Guys . This is the part 4 of the Masai vigniette series. The last one .

Is called the trophy and is related to the amazing ability of Maasai as lion hunters, and all the habits for young warriors to take the lions head and prove their braveness, and be hosted in the adult warriors - hunters team - society .

Head is from JMD modified, shield, and spear are from zero scratched, all sculpting is in mixture of Magic Sculp and Duro in 60-40 proportion

Painted only in acrylics this time

Poor old Mufasa; I definitely won't show these pics to my kids!!

Great colour and character and every one of the four vignettes has shown a different and unique aspect of Masai culture. Well done, this is model making and story telling at its best.

Thanks Tony . My idea of modelling . besides technicalities and rivet counting, is to really recreate aspects of life under scale. And except olive drab and WWII i think there are a lot of periods, locations, and tribes or kinds of people to replicate . Thats my idea of modelling
