Just as an exercise in painting I decided to have a stab at a group of 40mm minute men from Sash and Saber. Now they are not large scale quality but they are great fun to paint and allow bigger scenes without taking up too much real estate.

All done in acrylics with a scratched base.

Hi John!

I wish seeing more of this scale here in PF.
Great scene you did.

Cheers

It's a little known fact that they were actually called MI-nute Men on account of none of them being over 4' tall.
Nice job John, best wishes, Gary.

Nice job John , I can see the attraction in using smaller scale figures to produce a diorama both in size of the finished base and the cost of what that would have been had the figures all been 54 mm
The bridge is a work of art on it's own .

Thats just great John. Excercise in perserverence and skill. Plus its very inspring. You are more than a bust sculptor for sure!

Bob, pmfs, Mark, Gary, Chippy, and Colin, you are all most kind. I do enjoy building the groundwork for these type of diorama's and this small scale is very enjoyable to paint. I will certainly order some more figures, sometime and repeat this process. It does wonders for the painting technique as well.

Awesome work John.
Quite a task to organise so many figures on a relatively small base.
I was starting to think that the age of the Shep Payne'esk massive dioramas was passed.
Just brilliant Mate.
