About the mud
at the base:
I mixed Mig pigments (dark colours) with Vallejo Water Effect. After all was dry I had applied a wash of van dyck brown based on White Spirit (1:9). Then I applied Vallejo Still Water here and there to make puddle or marsh.
at the clothes:
I applied mixture of the pigments and Vallejo Water Effects to the figure using an old brush. Then I added some oil washes in selected areas. Dirt streaks were painted with mixture of various oils colours (ex. raw umber, sepia, brown van dyck and black).
Also Ernesto you can use some weathering techniques using mostly by armour modellers like A.Wilder or Mig. Here you are very good article:
