Hi all!

Could anyone please tell me if I could desassemble RESIN figures using NitroCellular Dilluter and/or Aceton?Would this harm the resin?I know Aceton harms Cyanoacrylic Glue and Epoxy putty, but Nitro Cel not.

Any answers would be very appreciated. Please,be sure about your answers-it would be a pity to see my figure destroied before my eyes :(

Thanks in advance!
-Kostas.

Periklis,
looks like you're off to a great start. Lots of action and nice poses. Keep us posted on this one, I'm a fan of vignettes like this!

This is a wonderful vignette, I will follow the step- by step.

I love ancient subject matters, especially Roman an Greek.

Cheers
Roc. :)

Periklis,

I can almost hear the sound of the immortals descending from Mt Kallidromos to engage Leonidas from the rear!

Excellent idea to merge these great vignettes.

Can't wait to see the final.

Cheers,

Kyle ;)

Ehm, I'm doing the same combo, Pegaso (Athens vs Sparta) and Andrea (Spartan's last Stand). Plus, I have added a couple of ancient Greek Columns for depth of the diorama and some items from my spare box like broken amphorae. Plus a few scratches.

Trouble is very little is readily available. Most things have to be scratch build and I for one, will never finish a dio until all pieces are build and painted.

As for the arrow feathers, I prefer to use the thick aluminum foil from a large Nescafe container. It's more realistic than any other material for this scale, is easily worked and it is relatively durable to weathering. The arrow tip is the real nightmare for me.

I'll try to take a photo of it and post it here.

thanks for the comments,

just finished the inside of one of the shields, need to upload photos!!!

Vassili i would like to see your work. I used aluminium foil as well at the end. For the tips i used magic sculp!!!! They are not great but i think they do the trick!!!

The shield's inside:

Using thin wire around a pin i created the circles which were glued in pre-drilled holes on the shield.
