This is a Jaguar "Over theTop" 1st Bn Lancashire Fusiliers, D company (Thanks, Billy Turnip fro the info!!) and was a model I wanted to enter in the Tulsa show and my first show ever. New modellers remember, CHECK EVERYTHING before you begin. The right arm doesnt meet the ladder as it should and I could kick myself for not checking before I started!!! I did so much research to get this as historically accurate as I could and was really happy with the progress minus the face which I am not happy with but practice practice!!! I even had to scratch build leather straps for the canteen and to the canteen which I have never done before! And I even used pigments for the first time! I am just so pissed at myself for not checking beforehand. But oh well, you live and learn and I have learned for sure!!! Its oils over acrylics and is my thrid figure ever. I have a lot to learn but I am getting there!

Hey man, for a third effort this is pretty darned good. Your questions and research have really paid off and I look forward to seeing this one at the show. Remember the fun starts on Friday night in the Presidential suite of the hotel!

Jason,

Looking good, Dude!! Nice painting! Looking forward to seeing it live in Tulsa. Definitely come, you won't meet a nicer bunch of folks and everyone shares their tricks and tips. Much Fun!

Good Luck,

Kevin D.

Very nice work indeed, and only the third figure! The painting on the figure is nice as is the basework which really sets the scene.
Cheers

Jason, I think we're always our own worst critics. From the pictures, and considering this as only your third effort, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! Well done, and on to the next. It's a continual learning process, and that's what makes it fun! Look forward to seeing this one in T-Town!

You've done a lovely job indeed! If the hand not touching the ladder rung is driving you nuts (I understand;)), all you need to do is pop the trench wall up to a 90 degree angle to meet it. Not a big operation to satisfy you.

You've done a great job Jason, it's turned out really well. I'm glad I was able to help in a small way.

Good luck with it in Tulsa and most importantly have a great time.

Roger.

PS What's on the bench for fig #4?

Jason,

Firstly, outstanding effort and congratulations.

Secondly, if he is withdrawing his revolver from its holster, as he appears to be doing, then I doubt very much his right arm should be touching the ladder. Wouldn't he want room to move his arm?

Cheers
Chris
