Hello all,

Here is my latest sculpt, an Tibetan Militiaman at the battle of Guru 1904.
http://burnpit.legion.org/2011/03/battle-guru-british-forces-win-battle-roof-world

based on a drawing of Rick Scollins.

Sculpting is done with various putties: AB, MS an Duro.
Details with copperwire, lead foil and evergreen plastics.
Head is from Hornet, hands, weapoens and powderhorn from the spare box.

Groundwork is done with MagicSculpt, sand and small pebbles, already primed black.

all the best,
Robert Jan

I researched this myself. What a fascinating episode. More belligerent pushing by the Crown, met by determined but hopeless resistance by the brave but miserably armed and led Tibetans. There was a battle fought at 19,000 feet and won by Gurkhas climbing a sheer cliff to flank the defenders, though not the battle this figure is from. Thanks for bringing this episode to my attention!

Hello Robert
Finally a quite different issue expect the painting to complete my view of this job

Cheers
