This is my take on FeR's Confederate Infantry Office, their title "Southern Pride".
The WIP can be found here
WIP - Confederate Infantry Officer from FeR | planetFigure | Miniatures

Painted in Vallejo and Scalecolour acrylics with various sources of groundwork, mounted on one of Pete's bases and with a NameIt plate.
A thoroughly enjoyable exercise over nine days on a figure that has been beautifully sculpted.

Thanks for looking. Comments welcome

Very nicely done Phil. Love the colouring, the grey looks spot on as to how I would imagine it. The scenic base really sets it off. A standard I aspire to (y)

Thanks Graham, much appreciate your comments. It has taken me a couple of years to get my eye back, and although all my early stuff was in oils, I am warming to acrylics and slowly getting the hang of them.

Hi Phil

That's a cracking figure well painted and presented , the uniform weathering looks good as does the basework which compliments the sculpt

Really like the piping on the cuffs and Kepi

Fine result and display piece ...good SBS as well

Thanks for sharing

Why not enter a piece into the class of your choice in our new look FOTM

Happy bench-time

Excellent painting, but done in nine days. I would be doing well to have a figure prepped, primed, and basic color blocking done in that time. Well done.

Many thanks colour, much appreciated(y) - being retired I can spare more time on stuff, but there is a limit. I tend to do a 2-3 hours afternoon session each day, seldom more. This one was quite straightforward. The next one up isn't!

I hope to be in the same position as you are very shortly, Phil - 96 days left to do today!:singing::)(y)

Well done Chris, you're not counting of course:D ! Do you know it took me all of five minutes to get over baling out of the rat-race that was my job. My last day, my boss took a day's leave, and that day, my access and car park token was cancelled so I had to get security to let me out. Do I miss it.....:woot:

Don't need to count the days Phil, Mrs. O sent me an app on my phone that does it all for me! What I want most of all right now is my commutation figures from the pensions people so I know how much I'm going to get per year - the day I handed in my notice last October, I can honestly say I felt liberated(y)
