I am moving away from 1/35th scale figures and aim to build my figures on Historex body blanks. This fella however is built on Airfix Multipose body parts all stripped of detail, which is then rebuilt with Magicsculpt. A head and rifle from G&G of Italy and a Historex trumpet.

Painted entirely in acrylics and using Vallejo Air Metalics for the trumpet, buttons/buckles and rifle parts.

Looks terrific. Want to sell it? Just kidding, I know I couldn't afford it with all the time you put in.
Mark

I have sold my work in the past, only a couple of times and kind of regretted it so it's something I'm not keen on doing. Chuffed though that you thought it worth purchasing..

That is very well done Simon. Congratulations on this original figure.
Reminds me of having a bunch of 54 mm accessoires and weapons from this era I probably never gonna use.
Let me know if you are interested.

greets,
RJ

Many thanks RJ, that means a lot coming from a man of your talents.

I shall drop you a PM regarding the parts.

It's an absolute cracker.
My favourite of yours, with really nice colour tones and details.
I love the natural pose. It's obvious you have worn heavy packs because his neck and shoulders look right.
Lovely.

Lovely work, that turned out brilliantly. I really like the paint job on this one, and you did a great job creating the figure itself.

An all round smasher. I've enjoyed following this chaps progress and the results speak for themselves. You should be justifiably proud of this chap. Congratulations.
