I just caught up on this thread as I ready for an earlyish foray to the Montrouge show.

Now I am also suspicious of Merc dealers - we had a fee service for the first 100k km deal but the cost of the materials such as oil were so high we reverted to the usual garage once the warranty was up and halved the service cost! Anyway I hate our Merc and it's the last Merc we will ever own.

We don't have kwik fit but plenty of sharks out here too.

Just my penny's worth.

All prestige car dealers charge way over the top Huw , It is the showroom set up that hikes the service costs as very little is made on the actual car sales, and the servicing after sales is what actually pays for the flash showroom and running and staffing , typical 1ten thousand mile first service is £325 on a medium car at the dealers and £140 form an independent merc specialists , still a lot of cash for an oil change and filter ,
