Tom Meier's has a new blog where he posts a lot of photos of his work. I have always been a fan of his work. So here is a link to his blog.

Jeff, I still have a few of the early Ral partha pieces he did way back when. His blog makes for interesting reading. I really like his caricature of the mounted Napoleon, what a cool piece.~Gary

Wow, Brilliant! Thanks for the link Jeff.

It has been a long time since I have seen talent of this caliber doing miniatures. I have never heard of this guy before but am now an instant fan.

That Napoleon is brilliant as are the other Napoleonic caricatures. I love that his horse has the same outlandish forhead and overhanging brow as the "emperor" himself.

Too cool and truly humbling.......!

Hi guys,
I readed some articles about T.Meyer in yahoo gropus,(I dont remember the link,in this momment).I like very much the fine humor style and the balance between the sculpting and characters of the figures.Simply perfect for me.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards,

Tomas

I am not sure . You might be able to find out by posting a question on his mesage board. I will post a link to his site Thunderbolt Mountain Minitures.

Have a look at his site you can see more of his work there. He has been doing a lot more historical commison work which is really great.

Though I think they might sell okay I doubt the buying public will ever see his Napoleonic stuff for sale. He stated on his site that they are for his son. He also did a 54mm woodland indian that is really nice. Unfortunately (for us) it is also for his kid. If he were to ever get into doing 54's I think his stuff would easily rival those that are currently being done by those regarded as the "top dogs" of that scale. I'm guessing we'll most likely NEVER see Tom enter that arena as his heart seems to be in doing fantasy subjects.~Gary

I have most of his Arthurian line. Such little beauties! Remember than the scales of most of his figures are 25 to 30mm. That Woodland Indian was very nice...needless to say, I check out his blog quite frequently.

Yes, all those Napoleonic caricatures will be cannon fodder for his son.

OK I finially found the Indain on his site. I just love this little guy. I am pretty sure he is 54mm.
Nope my mistake that ruler is in MM not inches. So he is 30mm. Which makes him even more amazing. That is the size of most of his figures as Wendy pointed out. Have a look at the 54mm knights he did on page 2.

As far as the Napoleonic stuff, if you grow up with a dad who sculpts then you have really cool toys. You know he is going to cast them up, so if people show an intrest then he just might sell them. That is what Thunderbolt does is sell figures. Post on his message board and get friends to do the same show him that it will be worth it for him to produce them. He is really great about answering questions on his message board.

Those Germans are pretty nice. Anyone care to guess who the "client" might be? It will be neat to see Tom doing historical figures other than WW2 Germans in the future. I know I know, they sell well.~Gary

Thanks Jeff,for the link. ;)

Certainly.Tom "cacht" the feeling of a german soldier in 1/48..A very fashion scale today sponsored by Mr.Tamiya. :)
Very nice figure.

Tomas

Well Tom says that the figures are going to be cast in metal. Tom had this to say."They will be for squad skirmish gaming and eventually include British and Russians as well as Germans and Americans." I am not real in to war games these days so I am not in a positon to guess who he is making them for.
