Recently purchased osme of the new Tommy's War 54mm figures. Can anyone recommend any Vallejo or Andrea or other acrylic or even oil paint combinations to use for the British 1914 uniform? Would English uniform do the trick?
Thanks in advance,
Ed

I've got a Tommy's War 54mm figure on order (Sergeant, P.P.C.L.I., Frezenberg 1915). My grandfather was wounded there.
I would like to know a good uniform color mix for oils. I paint in oil over acrylic.

Old Tanker, another reference from an old Military Modelling article from 1992 for oils is Yellow ochre +Ivory Black+ white+ Burnt Umber shade with tiny amounts of black and highlight with yellow ochre + white. Dependant on how much burnt umber you add you can vary the shade from a green to more brown if that helps.
