Hi all
This is a solution I have came up with for transporting you most precious works esp for airport rigours .
it is simple and saved the day for me with the muppets at Edinburgh international airport for the low IQ This way up me 'a no understand
The cabin luggage goons tipped my model case to about 45 deg but this method saved the day .
Quiet simple : drill a hole in your model base to accept a dowel ( the longer the better )
drill a corresponding hole in your base plat case , glue dowel to this and simply insert your model base to on the plate , four corners are then secured in the time honoured fashion with blue tac.
This method will hold a 75 mm Pegaso mounted at at least on a 45 deg tilt and will hold a resin figure at 90 deg as long as the dowel in the base is at least 20mm
