Meanwhile I had "used" a little bit color for the trench and had found some roots in our garden (had to help my wife and suddenly ;) I found nice things)

Both roots are fixed now and at the moment I make some experiment with "Gestrüpp"= brushwood. And the first photo of one of the heads. Both MG´s are ready but I had forgotten to make photos

Some new photos from my trench scene. The MG´s are not fixed and again many things to do and paint. For example all of the little parts in the bags

The first photos from the three figures. Not ready but I think you can see how they should look like.
I have lost both specs from Jon :( and had to make oneself a new one :inpain: I have used glue for the glasses and now it looks like he had to different eyes :dead:

Great stuff Ulrich!

I really like the tree roots idea - they look right! There are supposed to be ways to prevent wood from rotting without discoloring the wood, etc., but I've never had any of them to work very well. Maybe someone will share their approach.

Clear exposed film acetate works well for spectacle (glasses) lenses and gas masks. Round lenses are especially easy - you just need a punch and die set or a leather punch tool. I use white glue to fix them wherever. Dries clear and I've never had it distort the acetate or smear.

All the best,
Dan

Das sieht sehr realistisch aus Ulrich. Tolle Details: das Periskop/Fernrohr, die Beobachtungspanzerplatte und der Eingang zum Stollen/zur Unterkunft. An alles wurde gedacht(y)
