Great tutorial - love the use of grey scale to assist depth (yet to try this technique).

Very interesting tutorial. Not a flat painter but things like this make you want to try.
Was amazed at how the figure just jumps out at you even after the first coat after the priming is done.

This is a very helpful and inspirational guide. Has it been done with oil or acrylic paint?

Chuck paints in oils. The gray scale is in oil. The figure is allowed to set for a few days and then he adds the color, layer after layer, in oils. You simply must see his work for ourself.
