Hi all!

Today I would like to show You my newest WIP. It's 1/10th bust from Nuts Planet - the Lord of Lion.
Head is done in, I think, 75%. Hair and beard are covered just with base colour.
I'm waiting for Your comments and advice.

Excellent start to this wonderful bust. I like the colours of the skin and would recommend you keep the tones muted. Probably a bit more red around the nose and ears would help. Good luck with the rest of the bust.

Thank You for all the comments guys, I'm glad You like him!
I'll post updates as fast as I can.
Of course Merry Christmas everyone! ;)

I know it's been a while since my last post in this thread, but I've had hard month at the university - exams, projects and no time for hobby.
Now I've got some free time so I would like to finish this bust next week.
I've done some minor "updates" on the face, painted hair and beard (not finished yet) and of course started armour. Red part is covered only with base colour, but gold is almost done - I'll apply some dark wash for sure and maybe add some tones.
It's my first "serious" try with true metallics and I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I'm painting it with "Metal'n'Alchemy Golden & Steel" paint sets from Scale75.
Like always I'm waiting for Your comments!

I'd love to know your flesh mix!

No problem Gary, that's my flesh mix (Scale 75 colours):

base - Basic Flesh
1st shadow - Basic Flesh + Walnut
1st highlight - Basic Flesh + Golden Skin
Then blend it all together. Those colours look a little bit too neutral so I add more intense accent with Basic Flesh + Pink Flesh on shadow/base border.

Shadow (under eyes) - Pink Flesh + Arabic Shadow
2nd shadow - Walnut
2nd highlight - Golden Skin + Light Skin
3rd shadow - Indian Shadow
4th shadow - Indian Shadow + African Shadow
3rd highlight - Light Skin and small dots with Pale Skin.
That's my basic flesh mix, then I add some glazes and tones with different colours.

Very nice.......working on this piece as we speak....tried to stick with box art "'movie colors"..to make it recognizable but after seeing your color combination tempts me to shift gears.....after all I'm not even familiar with "Game of Thrones"'....now I'm pissed......gotta go back and rethink as you have put another visual in my head..........No birthday card for you..................keep up the good work though .........Wayne

Thanks for comments!

Wayneb, I thought it will be relatively easy project, because he has only 4 main colours on armour, but finding this "one perfect color" is not that easy ;) I'm glad You think I achieved this "movie colors". So if You want to know my color mixes for any part of this bust I'm waiting for Your questions! I hope I will be able to help You.

Today I'm coming back just with a little update of his armour.
I've applied enamel wash on golden parts (Dark Brown Wash from AMMO). I prefer enamel washes on acrylic paints, because it's easy to control them even after few hours.
I have to apply it on red parts too, to make all this ornaments more sharp.
Steel parts are covered just with basic color.
