I like the base and would reconsider the snow - maybe on top of the rearward rocks. It adds to the fantasy-style of the sculpture as a whole - otherwise the eagle would need to be replaced as well. Great work so far.

Absolutely brilliant work Zane! I love the base and use of slate. Many of my "old west" bases use slate for a similar effect. All of these bases are somewhat stylized and exaggerated to represent a specific environment. A certain amount of realism in the type and placement of figures on the base is sacrificed for the sake of artistry. At least that's the way I see it.
