Have to agree, stunning especially the face.(y)

John, how do you get such a dark background and yet a nice 'shadowy' figure with good colours???:)

David

Thanks David:) When I take my photos I use two lamps to light the figure. I use colored card for the background which is placed about 400mm behind the figure.I use manual settings on my camera so I can change apertures and shutter speeds. I always take several exposures to choice from. You just have to play around with settings and the lamps to get good results. Hope this helps(y)
Regards,John

This looks the business John. You've really captured the 'l ook'.
Great colour choices and a particularly good face ...... looks like something's really raised his blood pressure.
Cheers
Derek

Thanks Derek:) He does look like the blood pressure is up there. Tried to give his flesh that ruddy cold look, maybe a touch of Vodka to...:D

John, the ultimate compliment I can pay, is that I never fancied this figure until I saw yours. Top Stuff.

The time spent on the sash in particular has paid dividends.

Thanks Blind Pew:) Really appreciate your comments.I wanted to portray him different to the box art and had the idea in my head to what he would look like. Thanks so much again:D

John,

I have to agree with everybody else here. Nice paint and excellent choice of colors. It gives a very rich look. :wideyed::woot:(y)

The other element in the rich appearance is the great gold bright work. What are you using for your metallics?

Thank you Mike for your comments:) I have always admired your work over the years and have been very much inspired by it. Your opinion is very much respected.
The gold on the metal parts is Vallejo Liquid Gold, Rich Gold,it is alcohol based. I usually use inks for the metal work, but heard someone say these paints were very good ,and I have to agree. This is the first figure that I have used it on. I used the Tamiya alcohol based acrylics to shade it with.
Kind regards,John:)
