A Fixture
Hi there ,just finished this little guy ,a beautiful Mike Good 54mm figure .Still have to add the cigarette. Will pose him next to a Meng Komet one day .Thanks for looking.
Also, the ear pieces on the helmet should be semi-gloss black. Equally, the Nietsche and Gunther goggles had a shiny black plastic frame. Most lenses with these goggles were dark tinted although plain clear ones were used sometimes. I hope this helps!

Thanks XenofonThat's very nicely done. I like it a lot.

Hey MikeDarn neat mate!
Especially like your dark colours in this one
What were your mixes for the jacket as I have one of these to paint soon too.
Will look great beside that little Komet too.
Stay safe,
Mike
Thanks MarcBeautifull paintwork.

Thanks Dadd0Beautiful paint job (and some nice tips too)
Thanks Bob , looks like I will have to come up with an different plan ,but will post pics when finished ,Superb, post the pictures when posed next to the Komet.
Ha Ha , I obviously didn't put much thought into my plan ! so much for the Komet .Another reason NOT to pose him with a Komet! The T-Stoff and C-Stoff fuel were highly (and notoriously) explosive. You wouldn't want to be smoking near one.
Nice figure and great paint job - the leather suit looks fantastic
Cheers

Nice job Mario! This is painted as nicely as I have ever seen for this old figure. But, I am sorry to say, the flight suit is not appropriate for a Komet pilot. The Komet carried a highly volatile fuel that was highly corrosive to nearly anything organic. The pilot's seat was essentially nestled between two tanks of this nasty stuff! Because of this, Komet pilots were issued special "acid proof" clothing. It did not work very well, but I guess it was better than nothing. The link below will explain:

The flight suit on this figure would be appropriate for nearly any other late war Luftwaffe aircraft. I always wanted to display it with a Heinkel He-162. An Me-262 or Arado Ar-234 would be equally cool.

Keep up the good work!
