Here is the latest piece that I've finished, she's called "Undressed to Kill"
I don't know how well she'll fit in here, but thought I'd take a chance and post this photo.
The figure is about 9 inches from tip of toe to the tip of her raised finger.
She' seated on stool - typical of stools seen at lunch counters or bars. and the completed piece is about 13 inches tall.
She's resin, painted with Artist Oils over a base coat of flat enamels.

Thanks for looking,
Dave

Re: Undressed to Kill

She fits in fine here Dave. Excellent painting.

One suggestion is to type into the title "Nudity" so members who view the forum while at work will not open while there. Some members have learned the hard way.

I'll remember NSFW... I do alot of NSFW girl kits.
I make my living in the plastic model kit business, and for some reason I've gotten into the habit of building stuff like Undressed to Kill for relaxation. Most of my girls fall into the NSFW category!
Thank's for the kind words

Dave

I haven't done any Anime kits, Just never got into them.
I started with Military figures then I got into Phoenix and similar girl kits. Now I mostly do large scale resin figures.

Fantastic flesh tones Dave! Did you airbrush liquitex acrylics or is it oils? Just wondering if you did and if so, could you share your mixes?

Thanks for the pics!

She's a Garage kit from a guy who goes by Boondock Saint on the Clubhouse Board.
Paint is Artist Oils over flat enamels..
For the base Enamels I mix Humbrol flesh with white and apply it with an airbrush. The Flesh is rendered with oils starting with a wash of Flesh Ochre to establish the edges and shadows Most of that wash is wiped away then the flesh is applied
Flesh is a mix - 8 parts Windsor Newton Flesh - 1 part Indian Yellow - 7parts Titanium White and a touch of Madder Lake - a second lighter flesh uses that mix 50/50 with white and a third mix uses the second mixed 50/50 with white..
I just work from shadow to Highlight and blend each successive lighter area to the adjacent darker color.
Some brightest highlights are straight White.
Hope this is useful

Good stuff Dave.

Yeah, Boonie is a great guy. I'm sure he took this idea from a Zbrush digital sculpt and had it re-imagined.

Thanks for the flesh mix Dave! It's exactly what I've been after. (y)

Keep posting as you go along as they are a pleasure to see!
