Really like the shading on the young lad's leggings and the metalics on the kettle and drum shell. Also the playing wear on the batter head skin. Brought back memories of my days (62 years ago!) as lead drummer in the school CCF Royal Fusiliers band......many a time I've taken one of those drums apart, cleaned and re-roped it to the correct tension, then adjusted the gut snares! Different today, rod tension and metal coil snares!
By the way, enlarged your photos considerably to enjoy your painting skills and the quality was still there, really impressed with your talent and this has set a new standard for me to aim for.
