:stop: A french soldier of the Criméan War !!!
Is it possible ?
I thought it was a British war and victory.
Only 150 000 French soldiers and the Malakoff victory, the charge of the 3rd Chasseur d'Afrique how save the Light Brigade !
30 000 English Soldiers were in Crimea (the total contingent)....
Thanks for this Great figure, do not forget the others French Soldiers (only The Brothers Cannone remembers them).
Mre Crimean war, With British, but also with French , "Italians",Turks... and why not, Russian also ...;)
I will order this figures to go with the Corry's ones.
Best wishes for 2013 for all PF members :wacky:

That's obviously because one noble Briton is worth 5 Johnny Foreigner types  ;)

Joking apart it's a lovely figure and as rightly said a change from the usual figures from that war.

A Good Year 2013 to all!
thanks for the comments, are motivating!
Hello Microsoft, the right hand is not well fixed as well as all parts of the figure the intention was only to take pictures, I guarantee that all the pieces fixed on perfection!

Very glad to know
Thanks

I am really happy to see this figurine on the market! But some detail disturb me a little. He wears a decoration, which one ? I see badly a simple Chasseur (Rifles) with the Legion of Honor. Perhaps he wear the British medal for Crimea, but the simple Chasseur had it when returning in France or just before.
For helping everybody, some photos and picture of the Chasseur in Crimea 1855 !!

No idea what medall it could be; there was no french medal for the crimean war
All french who participated were allowed in 1856 to wear the English Commemorative medal ( long after the campaign )
So question still open

ok guys
maybe my mistake in placing the medal ... there is a tool called knife can remove the medal )))))
now seriously was my mistake to include a medal without verifying if used at the time!
I hope to buy the figure even with this small mistake!
Thank you for the comments!
If United Empire Miniatures continue to enjoy my work I will be happy to do some more dedicated to this war!

Thanks to all

Vitalino (thanks for the photos)

It's the medaille militaire. My secretary's grandfather was awarded one whilst serving on the Western Front in WW1.
