Ya, Kevin, if medals were non-existant you'd be going bonkers, HA! Great work, Buddy!

Hi Steve

I was a bit bonkers before anyway ...just got worse ...thanks for comment

Been working on the sash yesterday , getting there ..still to work on the scrolls and the main design ...then the actual medals , collar badges/buttons ....

I added the ends of the drumsticks with tiny bits of magisculpt ...small detail but noticeable in reference

and then ........cue the drum roll....

The bearskin IMG_1091.PNG

Iffypiccy ...click on for larger image IMG_1090.JPG ....will probably relook at the red again !

Hi everbody

Been working on the sash .....finished all scrolls ( I hinted at the lettering ...yes I tried but was swearing too much ...lol ) and centre badge

Still to finish off the actual medals then the actual sash black colour

Then it's buttons/ collar badges and white piping

Will then relook at the red and then it's that headwear

Iffyvision pic ...IMG_1165.JPG ....looks better in scale !

All comments welcome

Hi everyone

Update on the headwear ...using JS texture paste , I built up the surface and textured

IMG_1189.JPG

Quick wash over ....still drying !

IMG_1191.JPG

Started working on the seal for the front of base

IMG_1192.JPG

Think I will straighten the lines across the globe ....can't find any illustrations angled !

Need to think how to paint the headwear when fully dry

Then it's just the hand and the mace

Thanks for following

All comments welcome

Hard to see from the photos but the bearskin definitely looks better. Using texture paste is a good idea.

Hi folks

While waiting for the final texturing on the bearskin to dry ...been working on the seal for the base after adding the surround with wire ....still bits to do of course but also basecoated the hand and mace

Hi guys

Thanks Mario hopefully it will look okay

Looking pretty darn solid Nap!

Hopefully the finished piece will do the subject and the sculptor Nick Majerus credit

Just reworked the rope around the anchor...so it's fully joined now ....waiting for putty to dry , then a little repaint

Thanks for looking in
