Hooooorah!!

Out-Friggin-Standing work so far, keep er going! Skin tones and Uniform are excellent, especially the shading. Makes me think about my old Army days and striking poses about like that one!

Theodore it comes with two heads. One is made for the helmet and the other (caucasian male) is a plain head. Needs some triming to get the helmet to fit.

Awesome painting Dimitrios. I love your crisp, clean painting style. If I may suggest, add a touch or orange dirt and dust on the lower half of the body, especially on the boots.

Hi Dimitrios,

A drop-dead gorgeous sculpt and your painting further adds to the appeal.

As a far inferior painter, may I raise a probably irrelevant point? It's totally fine if ignored, as this is already amazing to look at.

To my untrained eye, a typical trick, also a breathe-taking one, from a certain class of painters when approaching the Vietnam subject is to apply a touch of orange irregularly and in not small surface areas on both halves of the body.

It might make less sense for such variation to occur at the upper torso, but it does please the eyes to see that, some irregularity and a hint of chaos, especially when military green and dirt orange are such good friends ;)

In any case, congrats on being the first to post your painting of this beaut. What a kit.

Theofile, Karsten thank you for the kind comments. Michael your point is right. As Tony said some orange brown shades should be applied here and there especially on lower half of the figure to represent the dust and wheathering of the uniform. I personally first paint the whole figure and then add some shades. I can't weather on the painting process. Thank you for your comment and critique.

After two days painting this fellow is almost done. Need to make the base and some more weathering, but basically this is the finished figure. Tried to take some decent photos of it( as decent as cellphone photos can be!). Hope you like it and thank you all for your support.
