I've got nothing to say!! ....you're simply the best!! and I'm too lazy to follow you!!! Perhaps the boots are too light.... but it is probably due to the photo!

Hi guys,

Thank you to everyone for your generous comments.

Mr Awesome Mega Super Moderator Mark S :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: castigated me about the poor quality of my photographic skills and my lack of decent photographic equipment yesterday, so I spoke to SWMBO last night about the need for a new digital camera, a light box and some new lights.

I explained to her that as a mere mortal member of pF, I must obey without question the demands of any Super Moderator or risk a bollocking of inter-Galactic proportions and being placed on the pF equivalent of a diet of gruel.

And Mark, believe it or not, she said "Oh well, you'd better go and get yourself a camera. I don't want you getting in trouble." Bless her cotton socks:love: I made her a cup of tea, kissed her on the cheek and slunk away to my hobby room like Gollum.:joyful:

The camera problem will be resolved eventually, however in the meantime I apologise for continuing to subject you all to my crappy iPhone photos.:arghh::arghh:

More work last night to better define some of the shadows on the uniform, boots and webbing. Still to do are the water bottle, the metal work on the rifle and adding on the last pieces of webbing and the sling.

Then I intend to do something about the groundwork. I had originally thought to do a simple base of black sand, but now I'm thinking about something a bit more "jungly";)

Great painting BTW, nice piece, look forward to seeing it finished.

Hello Tony, If not to late, fish aquarium plants make for some very realistic jungle foilage. A friend of mine used to use them with his 120mm Verlinden Vietnam figures. His jungle scenes were the best I ever saw. Just a suggestion, Regards, SG:)(y)aquarium-plants.jpgaquarium-fish-plants-5.jpg800px-Aquarium_fish_in_green_aqua_plants.jpga-underwater-aquarium-plants-fish-HD-Wallpaper.jpgfish-tank-ornaments-simulation-plants-plastic.jpg

Hi! Excellent work!!. One question, the scale of this figure (120mm) is correct or is smaller than 120mm?
