Added the dark bands with AV German Grey and then added some shading with AV smoke thinned about 4:1 water:smoke..

Blocked in the scarf and the poshteen with AV Olive Drab and AV Burnt Umber respectively.

Some progress..... This is a much more colourful piece than I expected LOL

I followed the boxart for the scarf just adding the gold stripe to echo the head gear...

The red sash was a try out of red with green to shade, effectively it makes a brown ish colour. :/

A fun paint done for the pleasure of it
