For nearly a year I'm passionating to American Independence War.
I love this historic period. I'm captured by its multicolored uniforms, its heroes, its political and military figures that led to the birth of a great Nation.
This is my representation of Valley Forge. One of the most significant historical events in American history. The sculpture of the figure is Mike Blak, 75 mm scale. The figure is producted by Model Cellar. He is a Private Lee's Additional Continental Regiment 1777.
The paint is mixed technique with oil paint on acrylic base. The section of the cabin behind the figure is a self-built using some sticks found in my garden. The base is a product of my friend Franco Serra. Hope you enjoy it.

My favourite rendition of this figure yet. Not only is the figure itself beautifully painted, but the building section and snowy gorundwork are also top-drawer stuff that really complement the piece.

"Figure Of The Week" for me this one (y) . Rapturous applause!!

Nicely done, and the base is outstanding!

Our Revolutionary War is one of my favorite subjects, too, along with the rest of the 18th century. Welcome to the subject!

Prost!

Maco,

Very nice! I like what you have done with our figure. I really like the mix of colors you used. And the addition of the log cabin "wedgie" is outstanding.

Paul

Hi Paul,
I'm really happy and proud that you like my realization on this wonderful sculpture you produced .
I chose to represent a soldier of Private Lee's Additional Continental Regiment encamped at Valley Forge in the winter of 1777.
This is the reference print taken from the book "An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Uniforms from 1775-83 - The American Revolution War."
I look forward the production of the other two sculptures by Mike Blank always with the theme "Valley Forge".
Do you have any news when they are planned for sale?

Hello Maco, Excellent workmanship on your painting of this figure and base construction. Here are a few colored plates that may help for future uniform references. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)minutemen.jpg8th-continental.jpgcontinental.jpg
