Carl, Simon, Peter, Håkan, Adrian and Derek ... Many thanks for the comments
Slowly!
I airbrushed the basic white for the surcoat? using...
Base English Uniform.
Mid White ( very thin, several layers )
I'm saving the highlights till after everything else is done on the torso.....
The cross is based with Burnt Umber, mid with Vallejo Red and high with GW Blood Red. I'm adding tiny bits of orange to edges just as a final highlight, still a lot of work to do on the transitions
Truly I am impressed by the excellent dyeing brother!
I think the color of his face are the best I've seen on the job so far!
Continued to impress us Marc!!!!
I like very much the red of the cross. I don´t know if you do that, but I ussualy add a litle bit of white and yellow to the orange to detach a bit more the highlighting.
Carl, Alexandros, Ron (see below), Eduardo, Sam and Rafael ... Many thanks one and all Work continues on this piece
Ron the stubble is really just a lot of dots and small streaks of well thinned Burnt Umber and English Uniform, once dry I then break them up a bit using the flesh colours from the face, to get the bright bits its just small touches of Light flesh. Again if they are too bold I dot them with a darker flesh colour to tone them down ... Hope that makes sense?
Okay, so I finished the badge ( device? ) and have been working on the leather and some work on the white tabard thing... I am also trying out a slightly modified shooting set-up hence the arty farty pics
Hi Mark-just superb, I think it has all been said before-pieces like this raise the bar on just what can be achieved and make the hobby a true art form.
Look forward to seeing this piece at a show soon? Darlington maybe?..................Keith
Derek .. Thanks He's got that northern look eh? Could be from Yorkshire too

Work continues .... Despite spending the weekend travelling and watching Rammstein live in Birmingham
The shirt is based with English Uniform, mid is Stone Grey and High Light Flesh, then I started making it looked lived in with Lots of very thin layers of Burnt Umber and Eng. Uniform ... Still a ways to go ... Arrow is to be replaced with a made item my friend is making for me, properly fletched etc
