Verlinden 120mm "All Quiet...." figure

Hello again...while I am here....I am also working on the above referenced Verlinden WW1 German infanrty figure. Can anyone tell me what color the tunic buttons should be? Also, on the figures chest, he has a small ribbon near the upper button holes in the center. Can you tell me what color(s) this ribbon is?

I think it should be thin black - white - black - white - thin black. Iron Cross, 2nd class? See the ribbon in the second pic. But, as you mentioned, only the ribbon is worn and it is sewn in the manner shown in the first photo. The ribbon in the first photo is for a WW2 iron cross, so it's incorrect for your figure. If the red strip or the ribbon in the was replaced with black, it would be about right.
