Bravo you did a great job considering the quality of the toy soldier of that era, gloves and map case are very realistic did you make them with Vallejo colors by chance? Let's not forget the insignia and the armband that seem very simple to paint when actually it is not so.;)
 
Thanks Pier. The gloves and map case were painted with mixes of Vallejo Camo Black Brown, Saddle Brown, Red Leather and Flat Flesh. The armband is OK, but I would prefer to have been able to do the actual lettering.

Also thanks for the reminder and illustration of how varied uniforms actually can be. Goes to show that even well into the 20th Century there were inconsistencies. Also illustrates how Germany's manufacturing capability went during the war. It went south!
 
BP - Glad you like him, thank you. It was probably the same for most army uniforms during WW2 - shortages, small scale manufacturing etc etc. It's a great picture though and one I keep in store for the uniform police (ha, hah!).
