This is my second attempt at a Knight. It was finished with Model Master Gun Metal dry brushed with Gunze Sangyo Silver to get a shadow effect. The bodice was finished with Jo Sonya's acrylics thinned with tamiya thinners shot through an airbrush. The blood was a mixture of citadel inks (chestnut and red 50:50). The base was painted flat earth, then dry brushed with several shades of green and buff. Constructive feedback is highly appreciated.

Cheer folks

Peter,
your metals look fantastic on this piece! If I might add though, your sword looks a tad on the "wavy" side (not quite straight). Maybe its just the angle of the pics. You might look at it closely and if it is white metal you should be able to very lightly massage it back to straight with your fingers. Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing!

Sorry! I just realized this is a Verlinden piece. Most likely all resin!

Nice work Peter. The metals do look good, nice job on the steel but the gilt helmet is especially convincing, what did you use here?

Thanks so much guys, I'm glad you liked the results. Sambaman, it is indeed a resin kit and very wavy. I tried bending it back but it would pop back into its wavy shape. If there is a hint out there on how I could straighten it up permanently, it would be greatly appreciated.

Einion, the helm was painted in model master brass. I then applied a black acrylic wash over the whole piece. I used a cotton swab to wipe the wash away from the areas I wanted to highlight.

Thanks again folks, your comments are encouraging!

Outstanding work, Peter, well done! Your metal parts are incredibile, and the blood looks realistic apart from wavy sword. :)

Keep up with the good work!

Hi Peter!

Your Knight is so impressive, so I ordered the figure today! I'll be very satisfied if I could paint it as half-good as you did!

Regards,

Nemanja

P.S. I'm glad that you like Hammond :)
