Victorian Volunteer duo

Hi guys,

Just finished the last bits on these two conversion/sculpts, using MMMs heads and new torsos and details. The one in the kepi is a sergeant, Staffordshire Volunteer Rifles, 1860 and the other one is a sergeant, Artist's Rifles, from 1900.

I have just spent time repainting the Artists Rifles face to more closely match the new one! The grey has come out very blue on the pics and in reality it is more more stone coloured, but, hey! Still room for improvement on the faces, but that's for another time..

Good idea, Go full steam ahead. Just make sure you do some extra copies for us less talented herberts.

Volunteer artillery, eh? Just so happens whilst researching the Staffs Rifle Vols. I came across the contemporary Staffs Volunteer Artilley, who only had a 32pdr gun! They used to practice in the local park at Etruria on Sunday afternoons, about half a mile from the Wedgwood family home and factory. As this drew complaints from the Wedgwoods, the officer in charge made the men practice even more..!

Mick - could be a bit of mileage in these commercially..?!
