Hi Everyone, it's been a while.

With a splash of artistic licence, Bravo-6 figures, Hobbyfan figures and a few cutting tools and conversions i have started recreating the famous scene during the battle of Hue during the vietnam war. It is not supposed to be an exact copy of the scene, but my take on events after the famous picture was taken.

As a small twist the photographer Kyoichi Sawada who took the original pictures will be depicted as a seperate small diorama.

Still a long way yo go, but i am having a lot off fun making this piece.

Thanks for looking.

Anthony

Great diorama & vignette Anthony, thanks for showing it here. I too love Bravo-6 Vietnam figures, got quite a few but have only painted one so far. They're incredible sculpts though, & lend themselves to lots of conversion possibilities.
I'd love to see more from the French Indo-China War though...…..so many different French & Colonial units which could be explored.

BTW, really like your image icon.
Hi Ned, i sculpted the boxer, during sculping classes with Michael Kontraros. The bust turned out good enough the Michael made copies and sold it through Michael Kontraros Collectibles.... The box art which yiu see in my image icon was done by Francesco Farabi. I was well happy that it became a commercial pice and even sold a few copies.

So you are the creator of the boxer! Bought and painted the Kontraros bust and gifted the result. "Well done, You!" on multiple works.

Clearly an impressive (and busy) piece that's going to be a gem. I don't know Bravo 6 figures, but they look
the business ! Looking forward.........

Mike

They're excellent figures Mike.
I'll dig out some photos of an old 'Nam diorama I did a few years ago and post them on a separate thread tomorrow, (my time).
Meanwhile, I'm following this one with all due anticipation for the final result. Looks like it's going to be a cracker!

EDIT: Please see this thread.
