Hi all!

some time ago I dug up some roots again and placed them into a vignet which presents a Verlinden figure, a bit altered by me.

The adaption was done on both arms. Primarely in order to hold a brengun, but later on I decided to let the bren guard the front and let the figure shout for amo or maybe persist in securing the retreatment of his collegues and only get hold of a sten.

Only some progress on his face and 2nd undercoat of the denisson.
The main idea is to obtain some refinements when applying the camo wet in wet in oils. The undercoat to be seen is globally the color I have in mind for the basic, only two or three tones lighter.

Since Patrick will be securing the front by a devastating fugue in staccato style if needed, unless he's ordering some thea to keep the spirit, I'm also looking for a good title for this one.

perhaps you can help me out.

take care,

thanks guys,

so funny...everybody seems to love the trees...
It's starting to get one of my trademarks ;)

but come one,...I'm dying for a sufficient oneliner here as a title.

Which particular English line could explain his rage or give the audience a bit of a chuckle?

René

The Italian job, Carl, don't know... if the action were in Italy, perhaps, but thanks.

the sugar..well, he's a bit cranky, maybe for having less, why not...

the acceptance is a nice quote Carl, but best quoted near the bridge I fear.
I'm very much inclined to watch a bridge too far again, looking for nice quotes :)

René

thanks, Roger.

I'm sure it's not the title that make or break my work.
It can do without...

'we shall NEVER surrender!!' just came up to me, just a thought ...

that's a nice one, David.
Pityable the devils didn't have that time to sh.t I suppose.
But I'll keep it in mind, thank you.

the first touches of oils in this camo...

For a more worn look and pretty outcome of eventual washes, I deliberately will keep this one lightly.

In order to get the same look of the print that was painted roughly in the factory with brooms I also made use of a blockshaped brush.
The oils provide in very fine lines.

trying to catch more cohesion in the colors and fixing a more darker look by filters, gray for the first and grey greenish for the second.

Vincinity, environmental issues are also worth noticing.
Some highlights on the trees and trunk will add a feeling of unity, I really want Patrick to be there.
The green leafs, sprayed in different tones will eventually grant his integration because of the same colors in his smock.

though I am thinking of a third filter on him in a darker green.

René

The pieces united, waiting for their endgame to cooperate in harmony :)

reddishbrown filtering on the smock.
The leafs glued in place.
Some more attention for the groundwork.
