Hi guys. I wanted to start work on Pegaso's beautiful 75mm Teutonic Grandmaster. If built from the box he has his left arm resting on his helm, which is on top of a stone wall. I wanted to portray him wearing his helmet. In order to do this i would have to sculpt the neck area and also raise the wall so that he could rest his arm on top of it. I was also thinking of having the head turned more towards the lright instead of the left, so that he would be facing away from the wall, which would be much taller. I hope that made sense :). Anyway, on to my questions:

1. In order to sculpt the neck i would have to do mail. Any ideas how to portray this in 75mm? What tools would i use to make the links?

2. Any ideas on how to add height to the wall? Would it be easier to creat a new wall or try to add to the existing one? What materials would you use for an addition? For a totally new wall?

Thanks for the help guys. Im trying to brainstorm this and come up with ideas but ive never tryed anything like this before.

Dave,

About the wall. Leave it away and sculpt your own out of for instance Milliput. Why let him leaning on a treetrunk or something like that.
If you sculpt the mail, go to your local heroine junk   No don't do that. What i mean is he has the right tool for sculpting the mail A injection needle where the point is off. Go to a hospital or ask your doctor for a needle. Look at the point and decide how many you got off the point.
Please the putty on the right place and go with the needle in the putty from for instance up and then down.
The next row is from down to up.
So this is i believe a way to sculpt mail.

Good luck with it, and above, let see us the results

Marc, im not sure i understand what you mean when you say "go up then down and then next row down to up" I appreciate the help though.

When you sculpt the mail it is important that it is as equal as you can. Above that it must looks like rings hooked in eachother.

In my poor english i try again.
you make the first row for instance from left to right.
the row next to this one is from right to left.
So it is the mail in the neck so it is from up - down and down- up.

Very interesting idea, David, I'd like to see Teutonic Grandmaster with his helm on!
I'll try to explain what Marc said about sculpting mai l- You should take the needle and on the neck area make marks like this : ))))))
and in the bottom row you should make marks like this, ((((((
etc. As you make different marks in each row, you should finally get the appropriate mail texture.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Nemanja
