Wanting to make a memorial trophy

Hi All,
I'm putting out an appeal for an old school 90mm white metal figure in a similar vain to the Anglian King c890, ideally I would like this one (I have been seriously let down by David Freeman miniatures), but a good ancient type figure is needed. It must be white metal and 90mm.
The reason for this appeal is to make a memorial trophy to be presented at our Christmas bash for the best ancient type figure. Who ever wins will only be custodian for a year.
It will be the John Vickers Memorial Trophy. John was my club mate and sadly passed away last week after a battle with cancer.
John was a true gentleman highly respected and thought of by everyone who ever met him. John had been in our hobby for decades and nothing was too much bother for him, he would volunteer help even into his last week of life.
A man so generous and asked nothing in return, always helpful.....so I really want to do this as a lasting legacy.
The figure will be done in a rub n buff and patina added to make it a statue.

I do not want this for nothing and will gladly pay. Please look through your stashes and give me some ideas, I will need a photo added to this thread....Celt, Ancient Briton ect

What a marvellous idea to get this , has it got to be WM , Verlinden did a full figure if I remember

I would help but all I’ve got is busts ,however I do have a WM 100mm Victorian Hussar which your welcome to use

If I may I would like to include John in the Roll of Honour here on PF , looking for details and pictures etc , perhaps you might approach WR to help

Another possibility would be Ray Lamb's old Poste Militaire Housecarl (Here's a pic of my old one done in the 80's) or possibly even the Norman knight (There's one on evilbay at the moment for a reasonable price)

Hi All,
Thank you for your input, offers and suggestions. I have purchased this 90mm figure of Arminius for the trophy.
Having the extra figure will give it some quality weight especially when mounted on a lovely base. When Rich
makes the base I will sort out the inscribed plaque.

Okay Richie all sorted out then,sorry mate only just got home and searched out these 3 for you Mil Art Anglican king Sutton Ho,Border Beowulf and a lovely old Aquila figure of a Celt cieftain offering a ceremony to the gods.
