As I look outside on this beautifully golden Sunday morning, I see the sun shining brightly as the previous nights frost falls from the trees and creates the illusion that the very air is sparkling like so many diamonds raining down on this blessed land. (no seriously, it actually looks like that!)It is -19 C. outside, and all is right in the World.
Congratulations to Russia for hosting such a successful winter Olympic games. Well done to all the other countries for all of their magnificent accomplishments! And finally hooray for Canada, Olympic Champions in Ice Hockey!!! Good to go for another 4 years.
P.S. Thanks to the provincial government for opening the bars up at 5:00 A.M. to allow for the crowds to drink their breakfast and watch the game.
