Well I got an awesome present ...my kawasaki versys motorbike decided to gift me with a broken alternator on Christmas day

500 Euro (that I didn't have) in total to get everything fixed...

We don't do on Santa Claus.
It is stolen from us the Dutch. When the Dutch colonists where settled in the USA the word St Nicolaas is degrade as Santa Claus. Now they wanna take it of, specially his assistent who is called Zwarte Piet (black Peter) wich is been seen as the last of the slavery.
It has nothing to do with it. Zwarte Piet is coming black trough climing in and out of the chimney.

So we will keep us Sint Nicolaas.

Marc I know the Dutch story well. Working in Ijmuiden when a Weismullers tug came alongside us and Black Peter came and asked us to shift berths so St. Nick. could get on board their tug. Duly loaded with all St. Nicks helpers and lots of presents they sailed round to Weismullers office where they had a Christmas party for the children of the tug crews. Very colourfull event indeed. You are right Black Peter helps St. Nick with the chimneys.
