The white dust (?) on your desk is a commendable effort but you can do better than that!

As I can see, the floor has been recently vacuumed and there's not a single paint splatter on your wall.

Hi Quang.

But that it was dust, it's ground in putty making a completely uneven surface to work on, and as for paint splatters, it's a room in the house and I like certain parts of my body where they are ......

Brian is that a barracks?, I knew I shouldn't have joined the British Army ....

Brian,Nice Room, about the same space as i shared with 5 other members of my battery, the sort of room that you Would'nt want to work in when the socks came off, oh happy days.

Richard,

I've never thought of the body painting bit. You're forgiven.

Brian,

If these are your quarters, you must be a 4-star general. At least. ;)

Wow You guys certainly have a lot of interesting places in which to do your painting. As for myself,I have a small corner desk area in my room with a little overhead light in which to do my painting. As the kids have a tendency to touch things,I have to pack and unpack my painting stuff from my "secure area" each time I need to do some "work" ! I envy you guys Cheers

Kenneth, I remember those days when I had little ones who wanted to touch....touch....touch. One of these days they will be grown and gone and you will be able to leave it all out. I looked forward to those days and enjoy having a hobby area now.

Yes that was the last barracks room I stayed in before retirement. My first was an open bay room with 10-12 soldiers with 4-5 stereos playing different music at the same time. The last one was remodeled for the olympic women softball teams(no kidding) for the Atlanta games in 1996. They stayed at Ft. Benning. After the games were over, my Regiment, the 29th INF. were assigned them. This was my room. If you watch the movie "We were Soldiers" a scene where Huey helicopters fly over the main post and the Airborne Drop towers and 3 quads of buildings. My room would have been in the middle quad.
