I like the research and decision making, but to sit for a few hours, lost in my own world making and painting is the best part for me.

Its a huge metal health tonic as the worries of the world dissipates in those moments.

I think I also have ideas above my station, so I frequently struggle to replicate in miniature the idea I have in my head, which I find frustrating. I am also incredibly slow, so it takes me ages to finish anything.

Welcome to my world, I thought it was just me :ROFLMAO:. My own slowness isn't helped by the fact that I'm like a butterfly flitting between one project and the next, the result being that I always have multiple projects on the go at any one time with each one inching at glacial pace towards the finish line, rather than just concentrating on one at a time to get it done sooner.

As for what's the most enjoyable, I can enjoy all aspects of the process - even the in initial clean-up sometimes. It just depends on my mood on the day and what I feel like doing.

for me is it the process.......... all the things that happen while you put it together, the painting
things that go wrong and getting sometimes a bit angry ,doing things over and over again
till I like it,that the colors are good and so we can go on and on,,,,,,,,,,and of course att the end
happy with the result, not always :)

For me, who mainly builds dioramas, it is finding a model (tank/truck/soldier grouping) and then working out what scene they are going to fit into and the research to bring it all to life. Painting and gluing are ok but the satisfaction of the project coming together and then completed is great.
