Who started WW1?

It's a little known fact that Australian gunners at Fort Nepean in Victoria, Australia fired the first hostile shots of WW1 by the Allied armed forces, and in doing so captured vital German naval intelligence codes that would help keep the German fleet bottled up in their ports for most of the war.

Fascinating Tony,i've just read the article.I should of guessed that the Aussies kicked off first.Just goes to show that somethings never change.
Serving with the RAAF in war torn Wagga ,having a quiet beer in a quaint Aussie pub,set upon by local long hair civvies.Result ,one broken nose,and my Aussies mates received extensive injuries.These were the days Tony.
